THE Land WHISPERS

Grief is universal but still not a comfortable topic in our culture. The sudden loss of my mother led to a deep, inward dive. Everything feels different from before. Things I have always believed no longer fit where they did. Grief is transformational; through this walk, I have developed a new sense of wholeness and clarity from which I engage with creativity. Alchemy occurs when I let go of control of my camera and composition. Allowing my entire body to become part of my image construction led to a feeling of integration between myself, the landscape, and the image; this deepens a connection to a sense of source energy and, in turn, to myself. Nature guides me back to myself. My inner life plays out in my making. The natural world is a refuge and a grounding source for me in all these endeavors.
